Why I Love Writing.
Writing for me has always been about one thing, characters. I love to create worlds and then populate them with people that have their own personalities and problems. While, in real life I tend to tire of people in my stories I love to see how they interact on the page.
In Fall I have been exploring what a man would do if he had been ready to die and at the very last second of his life was given a second chance, this intrigues me.
The bane of my comic writing ideas, Final Horizons has always struck me as a story about characters more than a action comic and this is probably whY i can't let the idea go. The story is about estranged friends that are thrown together to help one of their own despite all the things in their past that has kept them apart.
If anything I would say that while I dislike people, they interest the hell out of me. Small actions can have big responses and big gestures can go completely unnoticed.
My favorite explanation for how to write has always been a bit weird. A normal person looks at a phone booth and sees a phone, while to a writer we see stories, every call is a different story or a different path. Life is about paths. Choose wisely.
